Healthy remote work environment

With COVID-19 internet use has increased tremendously, since more people are staying at home there is an increase in video chats, online streaming and other online communications. 

Here are some tips to stay mindful of when working from home:

  1. Have dedicated office Space- using ergonomic chairs or stability office chair.
  2. Keep regular office hours- Set a schedule and stay consistent with your schedule (stick to it)
  3. Create a Morning routine- Will your day begin with a morning workout or a cup of coffee 
  4. Set rules with everyone in the home-If you are not available during certain hours make sure they know that
  5. Schedule lunch and breaks- Don't short change yourself. Make sure you are not just working all day and violating labor laws or company policies
  6. Technology- Maintain a separate office number, use VPN, socialize virtually with colleagues,  attend all conference calls and meetings along with trainings.
  7. Client meetings- Set up client meetings virtually and ensure your technology is working in order to have a meeting free of technology glitch as much as possible.
  8. Fresh Air- Decide how you will get fresh air, going on the back porch for your set lunch or break, keeping a window open during all your workouts

With COVID-19 we are required to practice active social distancing however we don't want to socially disconnect. Actively scheduling client meeting and attending trainings and conference calls virtually will reduce the change of social disconnection.

Creating Morning routines, Keeping regular office hours and client meetings will help protect or create boundaries between work and home life.

Virtual socialization with colleagues, and attending trainings and conferences virtually of course will help avoid the creative staleness.
